Arts, crafts and fashion designers gathered at a creativity market in the OCT Ecological Square in Nanshan District to sell their creative and cutting-edge products yesterday.

  The market, lasting three days, was one of the activities for the 2010 UNESCO Creative Cities Network Shenzhen Conference that opened yesterday.

  There were a variety of products, such as art and crafts, clothing, toys, books and records, gifts and commodities.

  "The market is a fantastic place for young designers like me," said stall keeper Wang Guoxin, founder of VMS.GZ Original Studio and an art student at the Guangzhou-based South China Agricultural University.

  "We can communicate with customers but we don't need to pay expensive rents," said Wang, "It is the starting point of our business."

  Visitors showed great interest in her hand-drawn covers for iPhone 4 and iPad, distinguished with a cartoon rabbit character or special patterns and flowers.

  The rabbit is an original image by Wang and its name is Bikini.

  The creative market, popular in many countries, was held regularly on the street where talented local designers market their works. Many have found fame after starting in the market.

  The Shenzhen's creative market is held on the first weekend of every month in the OCT Loft in Nanshan.

  Some well-known world markets are Spitalfields Market in London, the Moss Street Market in Victoria, Canada, the Ross St. Artists' Market in Melbourne, Australia, and the Design Festa in Japan. (陈婷)

  

  昨日，美术设计师、工艺品设计师和时装设计师们齐聚在南山区OCT生态广场的创意市集，出售他们的创意及尖端产品。

  该创意市集为期三天，是联合国教科文组织创意城市网络2010年深圳国际大会的活动之一。创意市集上的产品琳琅满目，种类包括了美术工艺品、服装、玩具、书籍、唱片、礼品和其他商品。

  “对于像我这样的年轻设计者来说，这个市集真的太棒了。”在创意市集上卖创意的王国欣如是说。王国欣是广州VMS原创工作室的创始人，也是华南农业大学的学生。“我们不需要支付昂贵的租金就可以与不同的客户交流，这是我们做业务的起点。”她说。

  参观者对王国欣在iPhone4和iPad的封套上的手工绘制表现出极大的兴趣。在这些作品里，绘有卡通兔子、特殊图案或花卉，而这只名叫比基尼的兔子则是她的原创图像。

  在许多国家，创意市集很受欢迎，并定期在街头举办，让当地的设计师们带着他们的作品在市集上展现和销售。不少设计师由此而闻名。

  深圳创意市集于每个月的第一个周末在南山创意文化园举行。伦敦的斯毕塔菲尔德集市、加拿大维多利亚的摩斯集市、澳大利亚墨尔本的圣罗丝艺术家集市以及日本的设计节等都是世界上非常有名的创意市集。
